Leading AI requires deep knowledge

Driving AI transformation demands a genuine understanding of what AI is, what it can and cannot do, and how digital transformation works inside organisations. Surface-level awareness is not enough.

Most programmes don't build real skills

The majority of AI education produces knowledge, not capability. Without working on real tasks, professionals leave with a certificate — and no evidence they can actually do the job.

AI programmes go out of date fast

The AI landscape shifts faster than any traditional course can track. Most programmes are already outdated by the time learners complete them — teaching tools and frameworks the industry has moved on from.

Catalyst is built around three answers. Deep knowledge — of AI, its capabilities, and how transformation actually works. Real skills — built by doing real job tasks, not by reading about them. And content that is always current — updated every two months, so learners are never studying last year's AI.

Start with a real task. Lessons exist to help you do it.

Traditional education teaches content, then tests knowledge. Catalyst inverts this entirely. Every unit of the programme begins with a task drawn directly from real job descriptions — things like “Assess organisational readiness for AI adoption”, “Build an AI project plan — scoped, resourced, and risk-assessed”, or “Conduct a process analysis to identify AI-enabled automation opportunities.” The lessons that follow are scaffolding — they exist to give learners exactly the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to complete that task to a professional standard. Learners are assessed on the task, not on a test. The output is a workplace-ready deliverable that goes directly into a portfolio.

Step 1
The Task

A real job task, drawn from validated job descriptions for roles in the learner's chosen pathway. This is the thing they are working towards completing.

Step 2
The Lessons

8–10 short lessons covering exactly the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete the task. Nothing more. Every lesson has a purpose: this one.

Step 3
The Deliverable

Assessment is the completed task — a professional deliverable, examined and added to the learner's portfolio. Proof of capability, not recall.

Content updated every two months.

AI is changing faster than any higher education institution can track. Catalyst combines knowledge from leading universities with perspectives from working professionals at the frontier of AI — and updates its content every two months to reflect the current state of the field. Learners are never studying last year's AI landscape.
